(Kyurem isn't but it's because of his stubby frozen chicken arms)
It's time for another card update. Because I've got card things coming out of everywhere at this rate which is, after such an absence and more or less hiatus, is a very wonderful thing. I got a lovely big box today which was full of many shiny, shiny goodies of which I now am going to sit down and scan for

The WakuWaku kit has such gorgeous box art, all original illustrations done just for it. Worthy enough of scanning on it's own (and I probably will too.) This is the first... classic feeling gift set we've seen in a while. There've been things like the Plasma Box, and the Tornadus vs Thundurus ones, but they just don't have the same feel as the closed box ones do from the days of old. DPt was the last time we got a kit like this.

Pop the lid and you're greeted with a beautiful sight. 8 decks, all with a focal holo, just sitting there ripe for the pickings.

There are some really cute quirks in the box too; the set has these special WakuWaku rules which are all done on cards with Gym Leaders/Champions/Rivals on them. Very neat-o.

The deck as a whole, broken down into the 47 unique cards that make it more of a subset than a deck. And the coolest thing that also comes with this kit?

Our first ever Tabunne coin. Which means we finally have coins of all the 'nurse' type Pokemon. Original!Green Chansey is from the Quick Starter Kit from 1998, Blissey is from 2001's Neo Intro Pack, and now Tabunne from the 2012 Everyone's Excited For Battle kit.

All the holo cards lined up.

In keeping with the tradition of other gift box kits the holos are a mirror holo with a gloss and star inset (a familiar gloss and star inset if anyone here has recently popped some packs of shiny collection...) across them.

But wait, there's more! I've fallen behind in decks and kits, mainly due to illness/injury putting me out of work, so it's nice to slowly start getting them through albeit later than I'd usually get them.

Battle Strength White KyuremEX is a tiny little deck when broken down into the numbered cards, taking the 60 cards you get and whittling it to 18 unique ones.

But of course the star players are these two.

Since they were released in line with Plasma Gale, which had ArticunoEX in it, MoltresEX is in the White KyuremEX deck, while Zapdos is in the Black KyuremEX deck (which I need to get still.)
Cards cards cards~! Anyone else excited for Megalo Cannon?
