So if you couldn't tell, Umbreon is my main collection. When I joined this community, all I had of Umbreon was the Canvas plush, US Pokedoll, I <3 Eevee keychain plush, and the Neo Discovery card pack that has Umbreon on it that I've had since I was ten years old. And now, thanks to the community, whether it was through awareness of merch or through purchasing merch, my collection is decently sized (At least in my opinion! XD). Pretty much everything in the following images are completely new to my collection.
And there it is folks... Within the closeup of the bottom left of this image, is my grail get -- The Halloween Umbreon plush - and it is REAL. LEGIT. I have had a bootleg for the longest time (that I have refused to display in my collection) and now I am very proud to own a LEGIT ONE. AND IT IS GORGEOUS. <333
Also I would just like to point out that I have both Umbreon Dex charms hanging from the I <3 Eevee Umbreon keychain's ball chain. My camera is horrible and it's probably very difficult to make out, so I thought I'd just point out what was hanging there. :3

My camera is REALLY BAD at taking pictures of tiny things, so it's probably hard to make out the figurines. The two in the very front are my faves, the Chupa Surprise figure and the Umbreon Pencil topper. I love them both so much! I was very fortunate to get the Chupa Surprise at a decent price and someone on the comm was kind enough to sell me their pencil topper. <3 The two tiny Umbreon figures behind those are Museum Battle figures.
The Retsuden stamp is also one of my favorite pieces of smaller merch that I have and is actually one of the first Umbreon purchases I made on the comm. :3 I'm waiting on the arrival of the new Umbreon stamp that I was able to buy individually without having to buy the whole set! *PHEW* The larger figures are probably easier to identify so I don't think I'll have to point out what they are.

And now onto my side collection! On the side I tend to collection Pokemon that I really like. I have more plushes than these, but I have posted them before and I don't want to repost pictures. I absolutely love Cyndy and I can't resist collecting him just a little!! T_T Everyone knows what the Eeveelution merch looks like so I didn't bother taking close ups of those. :b

I also got a Zweilous MPC from a GA, but it was on my other shelf full of plush that I had already shown you guys. :3 Well, that's it for my collection update and bragging about my grail! Now onto the next section of my post! xD
Okay so I figured that since I have a bootie Halloween Umbreon and a legit one, I thought that it would be helpful to the community that I compare them. :3 I SHALL TEACH YOU THE WAYS OF THE FORCE (MORE LIKE HOW TO AVOID FAKES)
NOTE: I in no way condone the purchasing of bootlegged Pokemon Merchandise. Please avoid it the best you can. If you have any questions on how to identify fake Pokemon merch, please feel free to ask me, or refer to the guides on the right sidebar within the community :3
Okay let's go! Picture time! ... But my camera is horrible, so please bear with me! I will type out everything that I notice, so even if it isn't visible in the picture, it will still be pointed out! One more thing, the legit Umbreon is always on the LEFT SIDE.
So to begin, the legit Umbreon's fabric is totally different. It has a brown tint to the black fur rather than the pure black like the fake one has. The fur is also a lot softer and 'fluffier,' while the fabric on the bootie just feels cheaper. The 'fur' on the bootie also faces downward, while the legit's fur points towards the back of Umbreon. When looking at the pictures you can probably tell that the faces of the Umbreons are also totally different. The legit Umbreon has its eyes spaced farther apart, and they are overall sewn on a whole lot better. The bootie's eyes are squished in and are tilting the wrong way. The legit Umbreon's head is very round/oval, while the fake's head seems like it's been sat on several times. The nose on the legit Umbreon is also very small in comparison to the fake's nose.

Even though it's not apparent in the pictures due to my horrible camera, the rings on the Umbreons are very different. The oval on the legit Umbreon's forehead is slightly thicker, and overall sewn better than the bootie's. The rings on the legit one are also a golden yellow, while the fake is more of a pure, bright yellow. The iron-on rings on the bootie are also semi-transparent and shinier, while the iron-ons on the legit Umbreon have more of a matte finish and you can't see through them at all. The differences in the capes are not easily seen with a glance. The collar of the fake's cape is a lot longer than the legit Umbreon's, and is also longer in general. The cape on the fake also rests flat against its back, while the cape on the real Umbreon is tilted backwards and is slightly above its back. If you lift the cape you will notice that the legit's neck is relatively skinny while the fake's neck looks overstuffed and kinda fat. xD
The lanterns are also fairly different. The fake lantern has its lines painted on pretty poorly (and is painted poorly in general), although I have seen some fakes on ebay where the lines are painted on perfectly fine. The biggest difference here is the shade of red that is used. The real Umbreon has more of a deeper, orangey red, while the fake uses a pure, bright red.

But if all else fails and you're still having trouble determining whether the Halloween Umbreon you're looking at is fake or not, LOOK AT THE TAG. Looking at the tag is the biggest give-away here when it comes to identifying fakes. The legit tag has the blue ShoPro sticker on the tag (which I have been referring to as the BLUE STICKER OF MAGICALNESSSSSSS). The legit tag also says 2010 on the front while the fake does not. The fake tag doesn't fold properly and doesn't lay flatly like the legit one can. The backs of the tags are scarily similar. The only difference I can see is that the print on the fake's is thicker and bolder.

If you're looking to buy one of these beauties online and are unable to see the tag in the picture, either message the seller asking to see the tag, or DON'T BUY IT because it is most likely fake! There are TONS of fakes everywhere! Please do not buy them! I hope this comparison helps people identify the real ones from the fake, especially since fake ones are very common and easy to get online.
I've found this lovely thing somewhere on the internetz (not saying where because I don't want them all to be gone!) The art is beautiful and I am very interested in purchasing this card thing, but I have no idea what The Pokemon Weekly is. I've tried googling it and found absolutely nothing about it. Does anyone know what this is? Halp?
Since I have two Umbreon Museum Battle figures I wanted to paint the broken one shiny. I have absolutely no idea as to how to go about painting a figurine. I am a fine art major, so hopefully that'll help. What kind of paint do I need? How much? Is there a specific process? Any help and advice would be great!
Last question: I have a decent amount of Umbreon flats (like my stickers and my folder) and I would much prefer to hang them on my wall than stand them on a shelf. My only problem is that I don't know how to hang them up without either damaging the merchandise and/or the wall. I really don't want to use tacks because that will poke a hole through the wall and the merchandise. I don't want to use regular scotch tape for obvious reasons... I have thought of using artist's tape but I haven't gotten around to trying it yet. Do any of you guys have a solution for this? Any ideas would be great!
Thank you for taking the time to look at my post! :3 Please feel free to comment! <3 POKEMANZ FOREEVVVERRRRRR~!!
