It was a dark and stormy night...

...or not.

Here's my entry for the Halloween contest! :D I spent ages on it and put a lot of effort into both the setup and the photo editing, but it was worth it. I had a lot of fun, and I hope you guys have just as much fun reading it! Let me know what you think. ^^

I was finally able to put an old tattered bedsheet to good use (in case you're wondering about the holes). XD

And then they finally got to go and get lots of candy, making Nate happy at last! Here's their group photo after they went trick-or-treating:

Meanwhile...

Turns out the twins went on their own and are already enjoying their haul. ;P

I realized after setting everything up that Nori didn't have a costume so I had to improvise (which meant scouring my mom's doll collection until I found clothing to fit him). XD Nate's little shawl/wrap is made of a silky sheer black material with red spider web designs all through it that I got a few Halloweens ago. Him wrapped up in it was the first thing I thought of when the contest was announced, so I had to do it. XD

There were so many better story ideas that I came up with after taking all the photos, but I spent two hours setting up and taking the ones I already had (and about six hours photo editing -- ouch) so I couldn't be bothered redoing it. orz And besides, it's not the story that gets entered. That's just extra fun. :D Oh! The first photo is the Gengar Burger King toy I have that still lights up. XD Perfect, right?

This photo is my entry for the contest:

Also throwing this out here 'cause I love it! For Halloween in 2007 I dressed my frog Vincent up as a prince because the local Petsmart was having an animal costume contest. I made his crown out of felt and stick-on rhinestones, and the spider web material I used on Nate was bought to decorate the container I brought Vincent to the store in. He won first place! :D

Isn't he dashing? <3

Finally, I leave you with this bonus photo, 'cause that skull is just too creepily awesome:

Have fun on Halloween, and stay safe, everyone! :)
