New Member Introduction. And Collection Bragging.

Hello, I'm eX.A.K.R. and I'm new around here, though I have lurked around for a bit before deciding to join this community. I'm 21, and is from Singapore (which - trust me - is a sort of a mini-Pokétopia with the death penalty), and I more-or-less randomly collect Pokémon merchandise and such. I don't consider my collection large (especially when compared with some of the collections I have seen around here), but I don't consider it small either.

I have been collecting merchandise since about 2005, not long after my interest in Pokémon was rekindled. Prior to that, I have virtually no collection even though I was a fan from as early as 1999 to about 2002 or 2003. My current collection consists mostly of Zukans and other figures, as well as some McDonald's toys; I have just begun to collect Pokémon chirashi (mini-posters), and so far I have the ones from the last 3 movies before movie 11, as well as the one from movie 4.

I joined this community not to sell items (although I may consider selling items in the future), as my collection is generally not in the best of shape (dust and mould is a serious problem in my home D: ). I joined mainly to request help for buying Pokémon items that may not be available in Singapore, or no longer available generally (such as the Pokémon 151 t-shirts - more on that at a later date when I'm ready). I might trade items from time to time, but most likely I will be responding to trade requests rather than requesting trades myself, and probably only do it alongside a purchase.

Some of you might recognise me from The Pokémon Community and Bulbagarden Forums, both of which I have since left. I still visit their chat rooms on SystemNet IRC though, so you can look for me there if you need to.

And just to start things off here, I have took some fresh photographs of my collection. As it's very image heavy, I had to make multiple cuts so you can skip any part you might not want to look at. Note also that I took the photographs at different times of the day over a span of a few days, so this explains the lightning differences. Also, apologies if some photographs are blurry or bad - I don't have the most stable of arms, and I was not that focused on taking good photographs when I was snapping away at my collection.

Photobucket
General overview of my collection on display.

Photobucket
Closer look at the movie 4 and 8 mini-posters I have hung up there.

Photobucket
Lucario figure, from the 8th movie figure set I believe. One of my favourite items in my collection so far. A tiny button lights up the Aura Sphere when it's pressed.

Photobucket
Dialga zukan. Currently the largest zukan I have in my collection. I got it from one of those capsule machines (as with much of my collection) by pure luck, and again, is one of my favourite items in my collection so far.

Photobucket
Lapras zukan. Formerly the largest zukan I have, and for a long time until the Dialga zukan came by.

Photobucket
Cubone/Marowak and Octillery/Mantine/Qwifish/Remoraid zukan sets. The Cubone/Marowak zukan set is currently the newest zukan in my collection.

Photobucket
Magby/Magmar and Lickitung/Tangela/Ditto zukan sets. The Lickitung set is hopelessly covered with dust and dirt - I did try wiping it, but the dirt stains remain D: .

Tauros, and Yanma zukan, and Unown O, P, Q, R, S, T, and U zukan set. I could have liked to have the complete set from A to Z, but then again I'm not so hot on Unown as I used to be. I might request for the rest of the set in the future though.

Photobucket
Pokémon First Movie bus and Pikachu Car toy models. You could say the bus is a grail item of mine - being both a bus enthusiast and Pokémon fan, the Pokémon bus model meant a lot to me. I thought I have forever lost the chance to get it when I couldn't find it anywhere anymore after my interest was rekindled (I have wanted to buy it back in 2000 or thereabouts), until I saw it for sale in a shop (can't remember which). After saving up, I hunted it down and finally got this grail item of mine.

Photobucket
Lugia, Ho-oh, and Celebi pen top figures. I got all three by pure luck at capsule machines :D .

Photobucket
Deoxys and Lucario pen top figures. Again, I got them by pure luck. I believe there are other pen top figures for the other forms of Deoxys (the one I have is the Attack form), although again, I'm not hot on collecting them at the moment.

Photobucket
Meganium and Feraligatr pen top figures. I know there's also a Typhlosion pen top figure, but unfortunately I never got it. I'm thinking of requesting for the figure to complete this trio once I'm ready.

Photobucket
Photobucket
Medicham, Mightyena, Claydoll, Skitty, Phanpy, and Nuzleaf pen top figures. Now, if only I have a Wailord figure somewhere... XD

Photobucket
Moltres and Dustox figures. I believe these are called museum figures? Got them randomly; I might want to get the Articuno and Zapdos museum figures, as well as any Lugia museum figure, in the future to complement the lone Moltres.

Pokémon phonestraps. I actually have the entire collection of this set of phonestraps/keychains - including the crystal keychain versions, which are hanging by the wall scroll I will be coming to later. Sadly, the metal bits on these keychains are starting to rust for no good reason >> . The Lucario and Mew phonestrap was taken lying down on my shelf rather than hanging as I had difficulty with taking the photograph while it's hanging on the wall.

My Pokémon collection cold store, where most of the not-on-display items go, inside my cupboard (the top shelf in this picture). Below is stuffed with some other junk of mine's - I removed some things to show the Pokémon Center Pikachu plastic bag I have kept in there. P.s. Yes, that's a bottle of wine over there - all I can say is that it's a gift from one of my more well-off relatives.

Photobucket
8th movie McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Yes, the entire set :D .

Photobucket
9th movie McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Yes, the entire set again :D . I got the Pikachu from an online auction after the promotion, and I didn't bear to open the packaging. P.s. I just realised the D/P starters are not shown properly - apologies for that, I will try to get a better photo later.

Photobucket
Diamond/Pearl McDonald's Happy Meal toys. Not sure if this is the complete set, and I can't remember the exact reason why one of them is left unopened oo .

Photobucket
Random Pokémon keychains and the like. Apologies for the Pikachu; I was unable to get it to lie down properly.

Photobucket
The other two mini-posters I have in my collection that are not on display, for the 9th and 10th movies.

Photobucket
Pokémon movie book, for the movies from 1998 to 2005 (the 8th movie). Again, a grail-ish item of mine's, but sadly it's slightly damaged (note the slightly fraying cover >< ). I still prize it nonetheless.

Photobucket
A random item: a full-page advertisement for a Pokemon event at a shopping mall almost two years back, in The State's Straits Times, a local newspaper. I actually preserved that entire section of the newspaper (their magazine section) just for that advertisement.

Photobucket
Pokémon Center Pikachu DS Lite. One of my prized items in my collection, but unfortunately I scratched the bottom after heavy use >> . I got it imported courtesy of a game shop introduced to me by my sister.

Photobucket
The box the DS Lite came with, as well as the Pokémon Center plastic bag I showed earlier. Yes, it came with the DS Lite too.

Photobucket
Photobucket
The sides of the box the DS Lite came in.

Photobucket
The DS Lite with the set of styluses my sister got for me. I actively used the Ultra Ball stylus, but with the Pikachu cap (instead of the Pachirisu cap it originally came with, I think) to match my DS Lite. P.s. I'm aware you can't really see the styluses clearly in this photograph - I might take better photographs later.

Photobucket
Japanese Pocket Monsters wall scroll. This is the only item in my collection that survived from before my interest first died, and is the oldest item in my collection naturally. The greatest thing about it is the now-banned blackface Jynx - Jynx fans might want to take note! Also, the crystal versions of my complete Pokémon keychain collection are also hung there.

That's all for now - I actually wanted to show a few more items, but didn't realise how long and image heavy this post has become Oo; . I hope I didn't go against any rules or norms...
