Next, I thought I'd like to do more in-depth posts of my tins. Eventually I'd like to review all of them, but that'll probably never happen, since I keep buying more. ^^; I'd love for there to be a comprehensive database of all the tins someday... not enough to do it myself, though. XD
Anyway, first is the recently released tin called "Hanagara", or flower pattern!
size: 12.5cm tall, 7.8cm diameter
featured Pokémon: Pikachu
release date: March 2015
contents: plain cookies (5), matcha cookies (5)
This is a very cute, eye-catching tin using bold colors and traditional Japanese design elements. It features a wrap-around design with Pikachu in various poses. It's the same size in diameter as the Kokeshi tin, but a little bit shorter. And the two look fabulous together. Unfortunately, I have no place uncluttered enough that I can take a picture of their awesomeness, but if you're using the Kokeshi tin as a decoration, then I REALLY recommend getting this one to go with it.
The tin is made of steel and is very sturdy. The lid fits quite snugly.
The wrappers for these are almost too nice to open! And okay, confession time: I really don't like matcha. But the matcha flavor in these cookies was very light and pleasant. I actually ended up liking them better than the plain cookies, which I thought had a slightly odd flavor to them. They were good dipped in lemon tea, though!
