20th Anniversary Custom Sprite Sculpture Commission!

Hello guys! I hope you all had an excellent Pokémon day! The UK was a little bit drab in terms of events and exciting new merch...but luckily we're getting the shimmery Mew plush in 3 days time at Game! (Anniversary fever gripped me into pre-ordering her so expect her to feature in my next gets post, haha!)

Today...I come to you with a rather exciting 20th anniversary celebration idea! I have one empty custom sculpture commission slot left over from my last opening and have decided to keep it open for an inspiring idea I've had!

As I mentioned, Anniversary fever has well and truly hit me and I would like to sculpt your favorite Gen 1 Pokémon! But I'm feeling a little uninspired by sculpting Pokémon as they are these days, all smooth, refined and "anime exact". Instead, I would like to replicate your favorite Gen 1 Pokémon's RGBY Sprites in the form of a sculpture, colours and all! Of course, as this is quite an exact specification for a custom sculpture, for this slot alone, the price for the slot has been LOWERED to $200 rather than my normal $250 as a gesture to thank you for allowing me to work on this little brainwave of mine! ^_^ (Of course, as always, trades for anything on my wants post will be considered to knock off a sum from the labor fee total as well, so if you have anything to trade, feel free to offer it up and we can part exchange as well! =D)

Intrigued? Click the cuts below to find out more! =D

Sales Rules:
- Sales permission granted by areica96 on March 21, 2015.

- All prices are shown in USD though I am based in the UK. I accept only PayPal payments at this time.
- Prices stated do NOT include shipping prices or any potential PayPal fees.
- I ship from England, UK and will ship internationally.
- ALL offers made are treat as a commitment to purchase! Committing to a sale and then backing out will result in a negative feedback being left.
- Payments for all items are required to be sent within 24 hours unless a prior payment plan or agreement is made. Payment plans are readily available and flexible so feel free to enquire about them!
- Purchases will be sent using Royal Mail and packaged with recycled materials where possible.
- Shipment will occur only once payment has been received in full.
- I am not responsible for items once they have left my hands and keep all receipts of shipment and can provide on request. I will only send custom sculptures to you via Royal Mail Special Delivery for UK buyers and Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed for International buyers. If this is a problem, please refrain from submitting offers.
- I am usually a fast shipper and live nearby a Post Office branch. I try to ship all items within the first week of receiving full payment but if any delays occur, buyers will be notified promptly.
- I do NOT provide refunds or accept returns!

Commission Rules & Information:
-
A $95 non-refundable deposit is required to be payed upfront on all commission slots. This money goes directly into buying the supplies needed for your sculpt and offers me a safety net should a commission unfortunately fall through from the buyer's end. The $95 deposit will be made payable once we have discussed the nature of the sculpt at length which will allow me to determine the supplies needed. As such, no work will start on the sculpture until this deposit is payed!
- I will do my very best to have the sculpture completed in a timely manner though please be reasonable when taking into consideration how long it may take to finish. Supplies may take upwards of 1-2 weeks to be delivered to me from the date you pay your deposit and delays that are out of my hands may occur during this stage such as wrong items being received and needing returned or stock issues with my suppliers. In addition, it may take upwards of 2 weeks for me to finish the sculpture itself so a month's wait for your commission is pretty standard. You will be fully informed during the entire sculpting process so you will be swiftly notified in the case of any delays.
- I reserve the right to refuse a commission put to me for any reason. I will not sculpt anything that I feel I would not be able to do to the best of my abilities, that is far too complicated, that is explicit or offensive in any way or anything that I deem as being so fragile that it would not survive the shipping process.
- I am more than willing to sculpt the same Pokemon more than once, however I will not replicate poses of previous commissions or the work of another artist. This is unfair to the original artist to have their work copied and also to the person who commissioned the original piece in the first place who is under the impression that their sculpture is a once of a kind, special work of art. If you would like a sculpture of a Pokemon who I have already created, please be prepared to have it posed uniquely.
- I aim to provide step-by-step process photos for all stages of the sculpt. First, I will discuss the sculpt's idea with you by providing various rough scetches to portray various poses and designs to choose from based on your ideas. Once that is decided, I will begin work on the wire armature (or wood sketch if opting for a wall plaque sculpt) which I will submit for your approval. Any changes you wish to make to the pose of your sculpture must be made during the wire armature portion of the sculpt. I am unable to make any pose changes after this point so -please- be fully aware of this! The sculpture will then be roughly blocked out with clay to give you an idea of proportions and muscle tone. Once that is approved the sculpture will be refined into it's finished look and sent in for approval one last time before baking. Once the sculpture is baked I am unable to make ANY changes to the sculpt whatsoever so PLEASE make sure you are happy with the final look of your commission before giving me approval to bake. Once baked, sanding, priming and general finishing will occur. Once that's done, you can look forward to seeing your final painted and finished sculpture!
- Due to the fragile nature of the item being made on offer, I am not responsible for any unfortunate breakages that may occur during shipment but I will do my upmost to protect the sculpture by packing carefully!
- I work in a smoke and pet free home though please be aware Turpentine spirits are used in the sculpting process of my sculptures. If you are at all sensitive to Turpentine, please let me know so that I may opt for another smoothing medium. If you have any other allergy enquiries, please don’t hesitate to ask!
- Commissioned sculptures under any circumstances must not be sold for monetary profit once they reach your hands. If for any reason you are forced to part ways with your sculpture, it must be priced under or at what you originally payed for it. The only exception to this rule is if you are putting the sculpture up for auction and the bidding goes over the price you payed as this is out of your hands and at the discretion of the bidder. Anybody caught breaking this rule will be permanently banned from my commission slot openings.

NEW* I WILL NOW READILY ACCEPT TRADES OF ITEMS FROM MY WANTS LIST!! Show me what you've got, and we can agree on a trade and a price that I will deduct from your labor fee total! Grail status items get priority! *Note I cannot deduct any fees from the deposit cost or the shipping cost, sorry!* You can find my wants list HERE!

The commission slot offerred is for:
- One fully painted and finished custom sculpture of any 1 of the original 151 Pokémon in either their Pokémon Green, Red, Blue or Yellow Pose, Colors and Likeness on a circular 12.5cm diameter plain painted real wood base.

Price: $200 ($95 deposit + $105 labor)

The deposit price is $95 and is required to be payed upfront on all commission slots before any work is started on your sculpture as stated in my rules. Since there are two slots open at this time, the second slot will be notified when their deposit is due to be payed once the first commission is completed. I will not take the deposit for the second slot in advance.

Not sure which retro Pokémon to choose? Choose from the RGBY sprites below (click images for a larger view!)!

Pokémon Green Version

Pokémon Red/Blue Version

Pokémon Yellow Version

Offer Form! Please submit your requests in this format!
I would like this Pokémon to be Sculpted: (insert Pokémon name here!)

and would like my Pokémon to be based upon this game version sprite: (Choose from either the Green, Red/Blue or Yellow version sprite!)

Instead of working on a first come, first serve basis, I will be selecting the commissioner at RANDOM! Yup! You heard correctly! You will have a window of about a week or so to get your commission requests in...and once they're all in and counted for, each of your usernames will be put into a hat, and the drawn out name will get the commission slot secured! This will keep things fresh for me and encourage me to not be so biased on picking my personal favorites, so get those requests in!

To prove that you have read all of the above rules and information and fully understand them, please include the phrase
"Forked Tongue"
somewhere in your offer post!

These particular slots will go to....
Slot 1:
meloman1a - Dynamic Posed Swimming Dragonair (commission from previous advertisement! Work on the second slot will begin once this sculpture is complete!)
Slot 2: -------

Prices stated above do not include shipping costs! Shipping will vary based on the final weight of your sculpture and all the packaging required to keep it safe so I cannot give accurate quotes until the sculpture is done. The best I can do now is give you the prices I worked out for Houndoom when he was shipped out which was $14 for UK buyers and $30 for International buyers. He weighed in at just under 800g in a box with bubblewrap and paper so a sculpture weighing more than that will obviously cost more and vise versa for a sculpture weighing less.

If you have any further questions you wish to have answered, please let me know in the appropriate thread below and I will get back to you as soon as I possibly can!

Good luck to all you prospective commissioners in getting your slot and best wishes to you all! =D
Thank you!
