I'm also going to Japan at the end of the month for the first time ever! So I have some Poké-questions for y'all at the end of my post!
But first, the photos!
I never posted the last piece of my SSS that arrived some time ago - the Double Team Scyther pencil topper! This figure or lovely and so detailed for its size! I've wanted it for so long, and I love it!
My local con gets! I'm totally obsessed with Pokemon food, and I've wanted the poster by Heybutterbee for ages! It now hangs proudly in my dining room. The Pikachu breakfast set is super tiny and adorable, and is from the Re-Ment Pikachu Café set! The sets were blind packaged, but I love mine, including the little Japanese candy!
I often see a guy at my local cons with gshapon. He recently started carrying Pokemon gashapon, so there were my gets from two different occasions! The Ditto Raichu was for a friend, but the rest are for me! I especially love the Mew in a mug and Alolan Exeggutor!
My friend came back from Japan awhile ago, and got me some lovely things! The first two items are apparently little gift enveloped, used to give people monetary gifts during celebrations. (Unfortunately a bit big for Canadian money or even gift certificates.) The Master Ball is a gashapon stress ball!
Of course the Pokemon Dessert Plate promotion was like a dream come true! I got a full set of the figures, as well as the clearfiles and apron! Meowgon was even so nice as to include all the boxes! Everything is so gorgeous, it was hard not to spend all my money on it!
I moved into a new apartment, and now I can finally display my collection! I took my collector friend's advise and bought a lovely (but expensive) Ikea display case for my nicest figuress and plush. The top shelf is zukan. The second is my collection of Mewtwo, Mew, and Pokemon food figures. The third is miscellaneous figures. The fourth is my psychic kitty plush (Mewtwo, Mew, Meowstic), and the bottom one is some of my favourite small plush.
Most of the rest of my collection! The bottom two shelves have all of my Pokemon baking molds, cookie cutters, and other kitchen things.
A close-up of my collection of Pokemon food figures! I really love these, and want more!
I want to finish off my post with a few questions!
What are some Pokemon merchandise lines with a food theme?
I'm becoming totally obsessed with these! Off the top of my head, I know of the Re-Ment sets, Pokemon Dessert Plate, PokéNeco DOLCE, Pikachu Tea Party, and merchandise from the Pokémon Cafés.
Also, I have some questions for my first ever trip to Japan!
- Are there any more plans for Pokémon pop-up cafés in Japan? I'd love to go to one while I'm there!
- What are some good shops to hunt for Pokemon merchandise? I'm looking for old plush, figures, and zukan, as well as the Pokemon food merchandise mentioned above. I'll be in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, among others.
- Will Pokemon Halloween merchandise still be available in Pokemon Centers by the end of the month?
- I would love to hear any Japan recommendations or tips! Does anyone have any suggestions?
- Lastly, if anyone else is in Japan in late November/early December, I would love to meet up! :D
Thank you for reading!
