Shiny poipole code/gamestop code not working?

EDIT: crisis averted, I found a second code and it worked! Thanks to everyone who tried to help out! :D

Hey all!  I'm in need of some help - I'm the kind of person who forgets to redeem Pokemon distribution codes until it's too late unless it's a shiny I don't have (RIP my extra shiny zygarde codes/yveltal and xerneas code) and I recently remembered that I should redeem my shiny poipole ASAP so I don't mess up again, so I dug up a code and tried to redeem it.  But when I tried putting it into my game, it said that the code was invalid?  I scratched the code free myself (so much so that I wore some of the letters - but I tried doing other letters that they looked like and it didn't help x-x) so I don't know how or why this is.  I'm in NA and got the code from gamestop - it may have been a different gamestop than my usual one, but it's not like it was even out of my state, let alone the country/region!  And it doesn't say it expires until December 20th.  I double checked and triple checked my code and tried alternate ways of spelling, but the print on the card is quite clear - and yet it still won't work, unless I'm somehow so tired that I haven't noticed my mistake after typing it three separate times and checking each spelling a dozen times.  I read on the card that if the servers are down, that may be an issue - but I've seen no such news of that on the website they said to go to, and the game hasn't indicated that that's the issue - it says the code is incorrect.

So my question is, has anyone else had this issue, and if so, how do you fix it?  Would nintendo and/or gamestop be able to help me out here, or am I on my own?  I'd rather not waste their time so I'd like to know first

Hey all!&nbsp; I&#39;m in need of some help - I&#39;m the kind of person who forgets to redeem Pokemon distribution codes until it&#39;s too late unless it&#39;s a shiny I don&#39;t have (RIP my extra shiny zygarde codes/yveltal and xerneas code) and I recently remembered that I should redeem my shiny poipole ASAP so I don&#39;t mess up again, so I dug up a code and tried to redeem it.&nbsp; But when I tried putting it into my game, it said that the code was invalid?&nbsp; I scratched the code free myself (so much so that I wore some of the letters - but I tried doing other letters that they looked like and it didn&#39;t help x-x) so I don&#39;t know how or why this is.&nbsp; I&#39;m in NA and got the code from gamestop - it may have been a different gamestop than my usual one, but it&#39;s not like it was even out of my state, let alone the country/region!&nbsp; And it doesn&#39;t say it expires until December 20th.&nbsp; I double checked and triple checked my code and tried alternate ways of spelling, but the print on the card is quite clear - and yet it still won&#39;t work, unless I&#39;m somehow so tired that I haven&#39;t noticed my mistake after typing it three separate times and checking each spelling a dozen times.&nbsp; I read on the card that if the servers are down, that may be an issue - but I&#39;ve seen no such news of that on the website they said to go to, and the game hasn&#39;t indicated that that&#39;s the issue - it says the code is incorrect.

I found a few people that seemed to have similar problems with different codes, but found no answers - so any advice would be greatly appreciated, even if you don&#39;t have experience with this particular issue!

...In a similar vein, if nothing else works out, I&#39;ll be looking for a shiny poipole code </d></p>
